This Egyptian (Hyksos) necklace from the New Kingdom period (ca 1400 bce, also known from Deir el-Balah, Gaza) has red jasper poppy shaped pendants and bi-conical red jasper beads; restrung with modern handmade 22 kt gold, small granulated ‘flower’ beads, and an S-hook clasp.

Poppies and pomegranates, both red flower-fruits containing many seeds, were a popular symbol of female fertility in the New Kingdom period.
